How to Install a GPS Tracker in a Vehicle
Install a hardwired GPS tracker by connecting constant power, ground, ACC and an optional relay, then inserting a SIM and configuring APN.

To install a GPS tracker in a vehicle: (1) choose a hidden spot with a clear sky view for the GPS antenna; (2) connect the red wire to constant 12V/24V positive, black to ground, orange to ACC/Ignition; (3) optionally wire the yellow relay for remote immobilization; (4) insert an active SIM with data; (5) power on and configure APN. Always disconnect the battery before wiring and follow the model's diagram.
Tools and Preparation
You need a multimeter, wire strippers, fuses, cable ties and an activated SIM card with a data plan. Read the tracker's wiring diagram first — wire colors differ by model.
Standard Wiring (Red / Black / Orange / Yellow)
Red → Battery Positive (+): constant power. Black → Ground (-): chassis or battery negative. Orange → ACC / Ignition: detects engine on/off. Yellow → Relay: cuts fuel/power for immobilization (optional, fuse-protected).
SIM Card and First Power-On
Insert the SIM, restore battery power, and watch the status LED. Once it gets GNSS + network, open the platform to confirm live position. Then set APN so GPRS data flows.
