GPS Tracker API Integration Guide
A GPS tracking API lets your software pull positions, trips and alerts or send commands to devices over REST/WebSocket — without parsing raw protocol.

A GPS tracker API is a higher-level interface than the raw device protocol: instead of parsing TCP packets, your application calls REST endpoints (or subscribes to a WebSocket) to get live/history positions, geofence events and device status, and to send commands like set-interval or cut-fuel. FOFN exposes a REST API and open protocol so developers can build their own fleet, logistics or asset platforms on top of the devices.
What You Can Do With the API
Get device list and last position, query history playback, create geofences, receive alarm webhooks, and send device commands (APN, interval, output). Authenticate with an API key per account.
API vs Raw Protocol
Use the raw protocol if you run your own listener and want full control; use the REST API if you prefer a managed interface without maintaining a packet parser. Many integrators use both.
Getting Started
Request API access, receive your key and the endpoint list, then try the "get devices" call. Our team can share sample code for Traccar and Flespi bridging.
