How to Configure APN on a GPS Tracker
Set the carrier APN (and user/password if required) via SMS or config tool so the tracker can reach GPRS and send data.

If your GPS tracker shows network but no data (or stays offline), the APN is usually wrong. APN (Access Point Name) tells the cellular modem how to connect to the carrier's data network. Send an SMS like "APN,<carrier_apn>" (and "APNUSER,..." / "APNPASS,..." if the carrier requires it), or set it in the configuration tool, then reboot. The exact command varies by model — check the protocol doc.
Find Your Carrier APN
APN is carrier- and country-specific (e.g. different for a local SIM vs roaming). Get it from the SIM provider; many IoT SIMs use a universal APN with a user/password.
Set APN via SMS
Example SMS commands: APN,internet → set APN; APNUSER,user → set user; APNPASS,pass → set password; RESET → reboot. Always confirm with the model's SMS command list.
Verify Data Is Flowing
After reboot, the platform should show live position and last-seen time updating. If not, re-check APN, SIM balance/data, and that roaming is enabled for cross-border use.
